Happy Imbolc everyone!
Today marks a mid-point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox.
From yesterday at sunset throughout today, it is Imbolc, an ancient Celtic holiday that celebrates the very first stirrings of new life – the earliest breaths of spring.
During a festival that is still very popular in places like Ireland, the pagans strengthen their connection with the world of nature and pray for the fertile land that produces plenty of crops for the year ahead.
Imbolc is also the day pagan goddess Brigid is celebrated.
Brigid is considered one of the most powerful Celtic deities and is said to be born with a flame in her head. She is also said to have drunk the milk of a mystical cow from the spirit world.
Known for the luck she brings, Brigid was celebrated for centuries by the Celts before being assimilated by the Catholic religion as Saint Brigid.
Like Mother Nature, we too are slowly beginning to feel the a change in our energy. As the days get longer, our bodies and our spirits sense the hints of a revival.
When it comes to business and brands, I witnessed new beginnings too with the launch of the Altitude Programme at the summit of the same name last week.
